Schools
The event organisers are committed to ensuring the concerts do not negatively impact local schools. Parklife Festival takes place over a weekend in 2026, therefore the impact on schools will be minimal.
Advanced Information
CIT will contact all local schools closest to Heaton Park before Easter about 2026 events.
We will also share the resident information leaflet with schools at the beginning of June.
Parking & Traffic Restrictions
There will be a resident parking permit zone and road closures in operation on concert days. As Parklife takes place over a weekend in 2026, schools should not be impacted by the traffic management plans. Schools with activity over the weekend, that require visitor parking permits, can request these via the online form.
Examinations & Noise
The 2026 concerts take place during the GCSE examination period. Event organisers will ensure any sound checks are completed each day after examinations have finished to minimise disruption.
There will be no amplified noise before 16.00 on Friday 19th June 2026 to align with examination timetables.
Schools Tours
The event organisers are keen to support local secondary schools and colleges by offering opportunities for pupils who are interested in learning more about careers in the festival and events industry.
We can facilitate guided tours for school groups and behind-the-scenes insights that help students understand the wide range of roles involved in delivering a large-scale event - from production and site operations to security, logistics, marketing, and sustainability.
These visits are designed to be educational and inspiring, giving young people a realistic insight into the skills, pathways, and career opportunities available within the events sector.
If you would like to find out more about arranging a tour for your school or college group, please contact the CIT team.
