What we do
The Community Impact Taskforce (CIT) is here to help reduce the impact of the events on the local community and support positive initiatives such as the Parklife Community Fund.

During the events, the team works on the ground with our key stakeholders to ensure operational plans are deployed as agreed, and to respond quickly to resolve any issues that arise.
CIT stakeholders include:

-
Manchester City Council
-
Bury Council
-
Salford City Council
-
Rochdale Borough Council
-
Greater Manchester Police (GMP)
-
Heaton Park management team
-
Council licensing
-
Council parking enforcement
-
Practical Event Solutions (PES) - exterior security contractor
-
Tracsis - traffic management contractor
-
Scrutiny - cleaning contractor
Maccabi Control Centre
On concert days, CIT has a multi-agency control centre in the Maccabi Centre on Bury Old Road. Residents can contact the team to report an issue in the following ways:
-
Telephone
-
Online
-
In person
The Maccabi Centre will be open for residents to call in person:
Saturday 20th June: 11.00 - 21.00
Sunday 21st June: 11.00 - 21.00
This information will also be shared in the resident mailing at the beginning of June.

CIT is not based in the Maccabi Centre outside of the concerts. Contact the CIT team online here.
Policing & Security
GMP is involved in the planning of the events and works closely with the dedicated exterior security team, PES, to help manage the local environment as attendees arrive and leave. The team around the exterior of the park are easily identifiable wearing hi-vis. Please feel free to approach them with any concerns.
Project Servator

GMP Project Servator Officers will be present during and in the build up to the concerts. Their experienced officers are specially trained to disrupt a range of criminal activity including terrorism and hostile reconnaissance.
Their officers also engage with the online community, sharing information about Project Servator and its successes. Follow #ProjectServator on social media.
If you see something suspicious, please tell a police officer, use our online form to tell us about possible terrorist activity, or call the confidential Anti Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321. If it's an emergency, always call 999.
Cleansing
We have a dedicated external cleansing team during the events:
-
Litter picking
-
Jet washing
-
Emptying bins
-
Road sweeping
Residents can report cleansing issues during the event to CIT and response teams will be deployed.
Toilets
Temporary toilets are installed outside of the park during the events for customers to use as they arrive and leave. Toilets are monitored and cleaned throughout the event.
Fencing
The event organisers provide pedestrian barrier fencing for a limited number of properties on roads that experience the highest levels of pedestrian footfall during peak arrival and departure times.
Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to provide fencing for homes outside of these areas. If your property is not on one of the key routes, fencing will not be installed. The team will continue to monitor crowd movement during the event and deploy stewarding and other measures where appropriate to help manage pedestrian flows and reduce disruption for residents.

Resident Feedback
The voice of local residents is important and we welcome feedback - good and bad - to help us shape plans for future events.
The Heaton Park Event Community Consultation Group (HPECCG) is made up of residents, councillors, council staff and partners from Manchester, Bury and Rochdale councils. It works to lessen the impact of events at the park, helps to form realistic proposals for addressing them and meets before and after each major event held in the park.
In addition to HPECCG, there are resident feedback sessions planned for after each Parklife Festival, providing a chance for residents to meet with representatives from Parklife, Manchester City Council and GMP. To find out more about the feedback sessions or HPECCG, email heatonpark@manchester.gov.uk.
